Then the moment comes to go back to Brisbane. But always on the search for work, I leave for the south to pluck appels in Shepperton, Victoria. The fruits are not ripe yet ! Poverty and hunger for me. Departure for Melbourne to try to find a job.

In order to give some food to me and my scooter I leave my camera in a pawn shop. The weather, like lusual, is nice and warm. Therefore I sleep under bushes in a Melbourne suburb. Luckily I have still my alarm-clock, because I have to get up early, buy the newspaper and find my way to the vacants jobs : I have to present myself at seven oclock in the factories. In a popular suburb I find an italian restaurant where I can have a complete meal (with dessert) for 5 shillings !

At the end I find a job at the chain-work of a television factory, which, thanks plenty of overtime, allows me to save enough monney to leave Australia after several months.

In 1965 I am embarking in Sydney on the Tahitien, a french cargo-passengers boat. On the way to France the boat stops in all the french Islands in the Pacific Ocean and the Caraibeen Sea. Two montlh later I arrive in Marseille.
