First page of a newspaper, an adventurer has  found a sapphire in Sapphire. A wild and nearly inhabited district prospected  by thousands of chinese at the end of the 19th century.

Together with an english friend from my factory we leave by scooter direction Sapphire. With a tent, some ustencils, oat flocks and pastes as provisions.

Prospecting under an oppressive sun, we have a lot of flies around the eyes. Fortunately there are some ponds of stagnant water in the bed of a dried river. As there is no other water to drink, we dive deep in this muddy water, were we can drink  this relative fresh water without any taste.

The nature around the tent is beautiful: kangourous of all sizes, wallabies, wild horses, brolgas, parrots, cookaburras etc.

As it is too hot to dig, we are looking for the sapphires on the steep banks of this dry river and so we can jump in the muddy water at any time. In spite of the lazy way to prospect  we find a handful of sapphires.
